With only two days left before Isabelle goes back to school we thought we’d squeeze in a last trip to the seaside. It was a little windy and we dodged the odd shower but we had lots of fun building castles all the same and you enjoyed crawling around on the sand trying to knock the castles down!
Today we went along to bird land-they had lots of parrots. You were able to feed them nuts and Isabelle even got to hold one!
Today we went with Grandma and Grandad to Markeaton park in Derby. There was a huge paddling pool that was very cold but you and Grandma went in anyway! There were even some donkeys and Isabelle had a ride on one. It was a very hot day so you enjoyed a lovely ice cream too!
We’ve had a lovely day today. This morning we went along to a park where they had a big climbing tower for Isabelle. Afterwards we want in to town and met Nana, who bought you an ice cream.
Finally we went and got you your first haircut!
We nipped in to a toy shop too where we found a rocking horse for you and lots of books for Isabelle.
Today you got your first pair of new shoes-you’re not crawling or waking yet but you’re very close and you keep wanting to stand up, so you got bought some anyway!
After breakfast we went for a long walk around the island. We saw a beautiful peacock and walked the length of the island and back again. Afterwards Isabelle went to the top of the castle with Daddy!
Today we stayed on Brownsea island, Isabelle spent most of the day playing on the beech. She enjoyed jumping as far off the wall and in to the sand. We had afternoon tea on the lawn and a cheeky red squirrel came and pinched mummy’s coconut cake!
Today we had an exciting start to our day off the island-we caught a chain ferry at Sandbanks over to Studland where we drove to Monkey World. It was a very hot day and even the monkeys had frozen ice lollies!
Today we made it on to the island…well, mummy, Isabelle and Jessica did-Daddy had to catch a later boat because he was busy looking for a car parking space at Sandbanks! Once we got on to the island it was time for afternoon tea. Isabelle headed straight down to the beach and for a paddle in the sea!
Yesterday we set off on our first family holiday as a 4. We have started our holiday at Odney and we will carry on to Brownsea Island today. It was so hot when we got to Odney that we were able to go for a swim in the outdoor pool, another first for you as you’ve never been in a swimming pool before!
