Work Christmas Party

We went along to the party hosted by my work again this year, whilst it feels as though this has become and annual tradition I do find myself wondering how long we’ll have left of being able to do it as you invariably grow older… anyway these are things to worry about another day!

As last year, there was a disco with a DJ, plenty of food and the opportunity to go and see Santa to get a present – provided you were able to wake him up!

It’s Panto Time…

…oh no it’s not (etc!) This afternoon we all went to the Panto at the town hall. It maintained its usual high standard with the Dame’s amazing dresses!

This year they did Jack and the Beanstalk with (in your sisters words) a real life giant! Obviously you both also came out with a new plastic light up wand…

Manor Farm

Mummy had booked tickets for a Halloween event at Manor Farm today.

As well as feeding the animals, putting the animals to bed, riding a milk float, making campfire toast, carving a pumpkin plus lots of craft activities you also got to go in to the spooky woods and pretended to be witches doing magic!

Happy Birthday Jessica

You are 4 today! You’re very excited to open and play with all of your lovely new toys – and you had a lot of them to open!

When you got down stairs there were banners up around the kitchen as well as a big no. 4 Balloon.

Mummy’s Friend has helped with some of the cake decorations as well as a special rainbow no. 4 badge!

You had your party at sciddadles soft play, with friends from nursery.

Elvaston bubble festival

Well I wasn’t really sure what to expect at this food & bubble festival – especially after we’d been  stuck in awful traffic just outside the venue. The man with the bubbles was incredible and the ‘bubble monster’ was amazing. There was obviously the obligatory ice cream.

Birmingham Lego Discovery & Sealife

We had a slightly earlier start today to make it to Birmingham for 10! We started at the Lego Discovery Centre where you enjoyed making various designs and playing in the soft play (as well as the brilliant 4D cinema).

Then we grabbed some lunch and carried on to the sealife centre where you and Jessica spent ages looking at the penguins!

The Pox

Oh dear…you seem to be spotty…we knew it needed to happen soon but looks like you have a case of the chicken pox!

Judging by tonight we’re  in for a few long nights ahead – we’d better go and stock up on Calpol and itch remedies!

We’re just hoping that Isabelle doesn’t get it again seeing as she only had it quite mildly first time around.

Christmas Day

So today was Christmas Day – Isabelle came through  first, and half an hour late you had woken up and brought her stocking through too.

Santa had put an orange, chocolate coins, a tamagotchi toy, a soft toy elf, a mermaid pen and a chocolate orange in your stockings!

We went downstairs and discovered Santa had eaten the mince pie and drank his sherry! The carrot had also been eaten and some of Rudolph’s water had been drunk too!

You both opened lots of gifts –  you had a Thomas The Tank Engine Hornby train, set Isabelle has had a keyboard, you’ve both had a Waitrose play shop and an Amazon Alexa as well as lots of other lovely toys too!

We went round to see everyone at Nana’s house before going for lunch at Grandma and Grandad’s house!

Beauty & The Beast Panto

Today we went to the pantomime to watch Beauty and the Beast – you didn’t like the scary witch in the first half but really got in to once the scary bits were over in the second half!
