Today we went to a garden centre to try ice skating.
You loved being pushed around on a dolphin and Isabelle has a really good go at skating on her own.
There were some singing penguins which you found very funny!
It was a lovely start to Christmas!

It doesn’t feel like a year since it last came around but the fair descended on Loughborough again and this was the first year where both of you were able to go on similar rides.

Today we went on a spooky trail through the grounds of Rufford Abbey!
They had lots of scary displays and you got a prize at the end of the trail (as well as an ice cream!).
They had a big new play area so you spent time on this and Isabelle enjoyed learning all about Arbella who used to live at the Abbey and was almost Queen!
Isabelle loves reading the board that told visitors all about the ghosts and hauntings that are meant to happen at Rufford!

We headed to Sutton Bonington once the sun had gone down tonight to go and see ‘trains by night’ in the garden of a coffee shop there. You both enjoyed seeing (and driving the trains) alongside the mandatory hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Last year Isabelle failed the school hearing test and had lots of trips to Loughborough hospital for some retests. In the end it was decided that you needed grommets-we’ve had to wait a long time but in the end Isabelle has been to a lovely hospital in Nottingham, called The Spire hospital, to have them put in.
Whilst Isabelle was in the hospital you spent the day with Grandma and Grandad.
It was a long day though with lots of time spent waiting for your turn. There was a nurse called nurse Lucy and another called Angela who did a great job of looking after her.
Isabelle was very excited when we got to the hospital but it took you a while to stop feeling poorly after the operation.
The nurses had a special little remote control car which she got in to go to the theatre room (albeit that Daddy did most of the driving)- it made all the anaesthetists laugh!

Isabelle was the ‘lucky’ recipient of the Brownies teddies this week – we needed somewhere exciting to take them so we headed to the Great Central who had a steam gala. You’re stilll super keen on Thomas so you enjoyed it as well.

Today as part of your Birthday celebrations we went to Thomas land! You won a pink teddy on hook a duck and Isabelle wanted to go on some of the big rollercoasters!

Today was your third Birthday!
You’ve been bought a play tent (which you insisted on opening all of her presents in!) some clothes and books as well as Elsa and Anna singing dolls!

Today we had a little tea party for your 3rd Birthday!
Nana and Grandad, Nana Brown, Grandad Beanlands, Uncle Tim and Aunty Jo as well as Grandma and Grandad came round.
You had been asking for an Elsa cake so Mummy, Daddy and Isabelle made a special Elsa cake too!
You had some amazing gifts and has a Peppa Pig Show with Grandma and Grandad to go and see in a few weeks time!

Well sadly we’ve finished our holiday now and need to head home. We packed up the flat, made a picnic and headed to the beach – what a great way to finish the holiday! You were able to head down and use your new bodyboard.

Traffic was a nightmare on the way home, but we stopped for dinner en-route and got home around 7
