Bosworth Battlefield

We had a bit of time today before you’re off on holiday (!) with Mummy & Isabelle later on – you’re very excited about this!!

The weather was nice this morning so we went for a walk around the battle field. I think most of it went slightly over your head but you did seem to enjoy all the gore of the Tudor age!

Broombriggs Adventure!

Despite the fact it’s on the doorstep (in relative terms) I’d never been to Broombriggs before – it was an adventure for all of us!

We had a really good time exploring, it was just a shame that the windmill was closed due to the virus. Still that didn’t dampen the spirits too much and we enjoyed exploring.

Fruit Picking & Bike Ride

It’s that time of year again when the fruit in the fields gets it lovely red colour and (provided you’ve booked) you can go and pick them!

You were both very good and didn’t want to eat any until after we’d paid (despite how your lips look!) – it was nice to see such a strong moral compass 😊

Once we’d got back we met up with Nana and went for a socially distant picnic in the University and just managed to dodge the showers!

Mocha Cupcakes

After a week of super hot weather, we got to Saturday and it was a very mixed bag! As we couldn’t do very much outside we decided to bake and decorate some cakes. You choose a very blue icing for the ones you did!

Banana muffins

It’s been the Easter holidays for the past fortnight (not that it makes much difference to your daily routine under lockdown) and you and Jessica have, on the most part, played really nicely together whilst I’ve been working from the house.

Today over lunchtime you were able to make some banana muffins with a little bit of help from me and some less helpful help from Jessica… As you can see they turned out really well, and tasted as good as they looked!

Official lockdown!

Due to the Coronavirus which has been sweeping the world (the first pandemic the world has experienced for a long long time) we now have to stay in the house as much as possible and school is cancelled.

You’re now spending all week at home with school setting you work to do whilst you’re here. Hopefully it won’t last too long but at the minute we jut don’t know. We’ve been trying to make the best of it by doing lots of different activities like chalking on the drive, playing with bubbles and getting the paddling pool out!

A good afternoon for a dog walk

It’s was a nice (and not wet) for a change afternoon today so we opted to take Jez for a walk. You took the dogs lead as you like to do (!) and I walked with Jessica who was on her scooter so she can keep up.

A new Christmas tradition

Given this was our first year without Grandad we decided to do something a bit different and we headed out for lunch on the 27th with Nana, Auntie Cath and Mr Darren.

It made a nice change m, and who knows it maybe something we decided to do more regularly. Your pudding was certainly impressive!

Christmas 2019

So it’s come around to this time again! You both did pretty well this year from presents from Santa on Christmas morning..

You got some MyLittlePonies for you both to share and then you got lots of things you can make like pixel art and aqua beads (along with a bit more Frozen lego to add to your collection!

You and Jessica also got matching (in style at least) hats from Chris, Karen & Frankie.

Work Christmas Party

We went along to the party hosted by my work again this year, whilst it feels as though this has become and annual tradition I do find myself wondering how long we’ll have left of being able to do it as you invariably grow older… anyway these are things to worry about another day!

As last year, there was a disco with a DJ, plenty of food and the opportunity to go and see Santa to get a present – provided you were able to wake him up!
