Mother’s Day 2016

Today was my first Mothers Day as Mummy to you both. We had a lovely day-it started when Isabelle brought me a card she’d made at school and some lovely smellies too. After Isabelle’s swimming class we went to see Grandma and then on to Nana’s house for lunch. You’re eating more food now and really enjoyed Grandads mash potatos and Nana’s apple crumble!

It was world book week this week and you were able to go to school dressed as a character from a book. You went as Titchy witch from your Titchy Witch books:

Jessica At 4 Months

You’ve turned four months old this week. You’re generally a very happy baby and still likes your sleep-you’ve slept right through the night twice so far and are good at falling asleep in the pushchair on the way to and from school. You’re finding your hands and likes anything that rattles and crunches. We think your teeth are hurting though because you gets very red cheeks and are very dribbly! Isabelle is loving being a big sister and still get excited to see you in the morning and to show you off to people.

Jessica’s First Food

This week you’ve enjoyed a nibble on one of the rusks Santa brought you and also a biscuit!! Isabelle was unimpressed by your eating thigh and declared that she  thought you were ‘the worlds messiest eater ever!’ I’m not sure she’s seen anything yet though…

She’s also found her hands this week and has been hitting the toys on her playmat!

First Nativity

You, Mummy, Grandma and Grandad all went to watch Isabelle in her nativity today.  The nativity was great, although not all of Isabelle’s foundation friends enjoyed performing-there was an angel that cried, a stubborn camel, some very bouncy stars that made the stage bang and another star whose bottom was hanging out of her tights!

Jessica’s First Christmas Tree

We put our tree up this weekend and now the house is feeling all festive. You’ve had lots of advent calendars to open each morning-a train with chocolates in, a gift one from Nana, a playmobil one from mummy and daddy and a countdown one from Uncle Tim and Jo.

One Month Old

On Friday you were one month old. Four weeks has gone very quickly! Isabelle has been giving you lots of kisses and cuddles and she’s been very patient waiting around while you’ve been feeding.

It’s been Isabelle’s half term this week. She’e been learning sign language, songs, phonics, reading as well as all about the body and food.

First few days

As you would probably expect, people were super keen to meet you! We started with your grandparents and we also very quickly saw Nana Brown and Grandad Beanlands. Everybody has loved meeting you and Isabelle has been super excited that you were a girl – I think she’s got big plans for the pair of you.

Welcome to the world Jessica!

What a day! We started the day with one daughter and ended it with two! You arrived into the world at about 9:30am after a relatively frantic drive across Leicester to ensure that you were born in the hospital rather than the car…. you appeared about 30 minutes after we arrived, I didn’t even have chance to move the car (let alone Mummy changing her clothes!).

We were released at about 4pm and brought you to meet your big sister and some proud grandparents.
