Jessica’s First Holiday

Yesterday we set off on our first family holiday as a 4. We have started our holiday at Odney and we will carry on to Brownsea Island today.  It was so hot when we got to Odney that we were able to go for a swim in the outdoor pool, another first for you as you’ve never been in a swimming pool before!

Four Generations

We went to celebrate Daddy’s Birthday at Nana’s house today. We took some photos of the four generations on the Brown/Bruce side of the family. We were also celebrating my new job-instead of going back to John Lewis when my maternity leave ends I’ll be joining Waitrose. There’s a new store opening up just down the road and I’m going to be the Operations manager there-exciting changes are ahead of us!

Mother’s Day 2016

Today was my first Mothers Day as Mummy to you both. We had a lovely day-it started when Isabelle brought me a card she’d made at school and some lovely smellies too. After Isabelle’s swimming class we went to see Grandma and then on to Nana’s house for lunch. You’re eating more food now and really enjoyed Grandads mash potatos and Nana’s apple crumble!

It was world book week this week and you were able to go to school dressed as a character from a book. You went as Titchy witch from your Titchy Witch books:

Rolly Polly Jessica

You’ve learnt a new trick-rolling! You can roll from your tummy to your back and is trying very hard to roll from your back to your tummy! I don’t think it’ll be long before you’re rolling around after Isabelle!

Christmas 2015

We have had a lovely Christmas again this year-when you woke up on Christmas morning Santa had put a pink table in your room with a table lamp, coaster and a box of tissues on it. He’d also moved your stocking on to your table:

When you got downstairs you could see that Santa had ticked torch and clock off your list and that he had eaten his mince pie and drank his drink. There was only the tip of the carrot left where hungry Rudolph had munched the carrot you had left!

Breakfast With Santa

Today we went to Woodlands Garden Centre to see Santa before Christmas. To start off with Jessicca didn’t want to wake up:

When we got there we saw lots of big lights and Christmas decorations:

Then a naughty Elf found you!

you decorated a gingerbread biscuit while we waited for our breakfast:

After breakfast you had a dance with Daddy while Jessica had a nap:

THEN…you got to meet Santa and Jessica had her first cuddle with Santa!

Afterwards we went to see Nana Brown and put her Christmas tree up for her-you and your sister lounged around on the sofa quite a bit though!

Fireworks

We all wrapped up warmly last night and headed out to see a fireworks display at the Loughborough University. They even had a light show that lit one of the buildings up.

Today we went to see our friends Rich and Sarah and their new baby Harry. He was 6lb 12oz even though he’s 3 weeks old which is less than either Isabelle and Jessica weighed at birth!
